Sources and Editorial Methodology
Our guides are based on Polish law and official public sources. This page lists those sources with the date we last checked each one, explains how we keep the site up to date and how we translate legal terms, and tells you how to report a correction.
Where our information comes from
We use only primary sources: Polish legislation in its current consolidated form and official pages published by public authorities. News articles, casino websites and other gambling sites are not sources for our guides.

“Checked” is the date we last opened and read the source. “Document date” is the date shown by the source itself, such as the date of a consolidated legal text or a page version.
How we check and update pages
- Our editorial policy is to review the key official sources every day, in particular the Ministry of Finance list of legal operators and the register of blocked gambling websites.
- We watch for new amendments to the Gambling Act and related laws and update the affected guides when changes are published.
- The “sources checked” date on each page changes only when we have actually re-read the sources for that page. It does not change just because a page is displayed or redesigned.
- Figures such as the number of entries in the blocked-website register come from the official source on the date shown next to them.
Translations
The laws and official pages we cite are published in Polish. The English wording on this site is our own translation. Where exact wording matters, we quote the Polish text as well. If our translation and the Polish text differ, the Polish text is the one that has legal force. Our glossary of Polish gambling terms explains the vocabulary.
What our guides are not
Our guides give general information about the law. They are not legal or tax advice and cannot take account of your personal situation. For advice about your own case, speak to a lawyer, or contact National Tax Information for tax questions.
